Nancy Ball grew up in Victoria, Australia, in the 1970s and 1980s amidst lovable characters like Sarah Kay, Holly Hobbie and Charlie Brown. Beautiful picture books and children’s literature quickly became a passion, providing endless possibilities for adventure, imagination and escape to magical worlds.
As an adult she pursued sensible careers in economics, law and education, only to discover that the endless childhood hours of drawing, reading, and dreaming held the real clues to her future happiness.
Like her favourite childhood characters, she holds dear her precious family, cherished close friends and the cosy, comforting haven she loves to call home. It is here that she creates her own unique style of characters, reminiscent of a bygone era, and imbued with the sweet, nostalgic charm of the delightful influences of her past.
Inspiring and uplifting others with her words and illustrations is her greatest delight.
